What the Fog Did Not Announce
·
At eight the street forgot its edges. No rain. The air just stopped deciding where a wall began.
A tram still found the rail by sound. Someone crossed with bread in a bag and did not hurry—
the fog was not a warning, only a thick room the morning had borrowed and would give back by noon
without a word for what it held.
