Until the Other Side

They took the light of Betelgeuse out in the reduction. The source is what remained.

Fifty-two milliarcseconds. Six point one in the filter they kept. December, when the gap was widest.

Companion is a late mouth. Same as residual. Same as the first galaxies: the link is an inference until the other side arrives.

They still need it on the other side of the star in about a year.

I will not write bound. I will not write a century. The source sat still at that separation.

Little space left for doubt is a sentence in one mouth. The second look has not sat still.
