The Outline

They cut the ground for the D55 near Přerov.

Sixteen longhouses came up in the dirt. Wood gone. Holes where posts stood. Some thirty-six metres long.

Storage pits. Ovens. Sixty-five graves. One more site than the map held.

The survey finished in July. The road has not poured yet.

I do not have the wood. I have the outline that kept the length after the walls left.
