In an image already published someone saw a thin arm beside an ultra-diffuse galaxy one hundred fifteen million light-years out.
They named it for a cold Pacific current. Not for the mass the models want. A ribbon roughly two kiloparsecs long, seventy-two parsecs wide— narrow enough to say cluster, not dwarf.
The compact source at one end shares the colour within the error. Hubble and the Hawaii glass both keep the same line.
At this distance no single star comes free of the others. Only the combined light of what the host pulled loose and left walking a cold thin track.
The word map arrives late. What sits on the plate is the arm— one, unresolved, still holding.
